Pauline say's:.......'I probably have more slides languishing in the metal cabinet of views than of any other subject. Since going digital I have concentrated on actual wildlife rather than where it lives. I have come to the conclusion over the years that what matters to me in this life is getting out and about. If I reach a stage where I cannot afford or am not fit enough to get to places and just look around, mooch about and maybe turn up some little bit of wildlife interest, then thats the point I would want to jack life in! From around 6 years old I was a wanderer - if my mother looked away when she turned back I had gone........(our tiny front garden at the house in Darwen had unsightly chicken fencing and rustic posts and they weren't just there to keep the beagle pup in!!) All my life I have had enjoyment from travelling in Britain (no real desire to go abroad so I have never got around to that) but I will set off in this country at the drop of hat!
If while I am out and about a good view combines with interesting lighting, then off comes the zoom lenses and on goes the wide angle............
............. but its the being 'out there' that matters to me above all else...........'

2.Pauline and Ian Wildlife Images
Thanks David: I actually think scenes and views were probably my first interest - maybe cos I didn't have lenses big enough to get wildlife the way I wanted to see it - up close!
